Winery for the Month of June
Summer
is finally here and nothing screams “summer” like
sauvignon blanc. New Zealand sauvignon blanc is especially
refreshing in the hot days of the season. Nobilo wines
are the perfect representation of New Zealand wine. Make
sure to take advantage of our June sale for an even better
deal!!!
Steeped
in history, Nobilo wines are proudly acclaimed as some
of New Zealand 's most respected pioneering wine brands.
A Croat immigrant, Nikola Nobilo, whose family history
and wine making background stretches back over 300 years
in Europe , led the way. The history of the company in
New Zealand goes back to the early 1940's when this Croatian
family, landed in New Zealand . They settled in Huapai,
West Auckland , situated in the North Island of New Zealand,
and started planting vines in 1943. The Nobilo family
effectively persuaded and guided the New Zealand wine
industry away from hybrid grape varieties and fortified
wines, to a higher level of quality wine, now recognized
and appraised by all markets

House of Nobilo Icon Marlborough Pinot
Gris -
$17.99
The
fruit is specifically selected from a small block planted
in well-drained river silt of sandstone rock and light
loams. The wine is rewarded with perfect balance in the
fruit by receiving intensive canopy manipulation in the
vineyards prior to harvest. Short contact with the skins
after crushing, using a specific yeast culture has enhanced
the palate weight and mouth feel. Made in Alsace style,
the wine is rich and exotic with a clean sensual finish.
- Concentrated
fruit, sourced from small, low yielding block
