Roederer Estate Brut, Anderson Valley
$19.99
A blend of only Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, aged on the lees for three
years before disgorgement, this sparkling wine ranks among California’s
best non-vintage styles. It boasts both the richness and toastiness of
an aged sparkling wine, without losing any of the finesse, elegance and
freshness of a young Champagne. Will work well with seafood – including
sushi – as well as with brunch foods the morning after Thanksgiving.
Also try it with your appetizers on the eve of Thanksgiving, it will
stand up to some fairly rich foods, even Turkey with gravy.

even the spice of the syrah and the mourverdre come through. If you are
familiar with dry roses, then you know the heights to which they can climb.
If you are new to dry roses, then this is a great place to start. |

Camaraderie Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon, Washington
$23.99
A big, bold red for those who are neither faint of heart nor faint of
palate. It is a bit unusual for a Washington State Cabernet, as it shows
lots of thick, intense, but silky tannins, big, fat glycerin-rich fruit,
and a very well balanced finish. This wine could easily pair with a full
turkey dinner, as long as those drinking enjoy a big full-flavored red
with their food. Ideally, this Cabernet should lay down for a couple
of years, but it is showing very well right now.
